Dark chocolate pistachio biscotti
Dark Chocolate Pistachio Biscotti
Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup crushed pistachios
- 1/2 cup crushed dark chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla
(Milk not included in picture)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and a thin layer of coconut oil or spray oil.
- Mix dry ingredients together, except chocolate and pistachios.
- Mix wet ingredients together, except milk.
- Combine wet ingredients into dry, fold with hands, add the milk.
- Add the chocolate and pistachios even throughout the dough.
- Form dough into a loaf shape and place on sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until middle is firm. Remove from oven. Let it cool for about 10 min.
- Reduce oven to 300 degrees. Slice the ball into 1 inch thick biscotti pieces and place flat on the baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes on one side, than flip and bake the other side for 10 min.
- Let it cool than dip in a latte or coffee!
