Dark Chocolate Breakfast Bars

Makes: 10 small bars
Ingredients:
-1 cup raw almonds

-1 cup old fashion oats
-1 egg
-1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, melted
-2 ripe bananas, mashed

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. In a food processor, blend almonds until smooth like almond butter. About 5 minutes or more.
3. Add 1/2 cup oats in and blend together for 2-4 min.
4. Add egg, rest of the oats, melted chocolate, and bananas in the blend, mix well.
5. Place a piece of wax paper on a small baking sheet and coat with oil (I smear coconut oil), place the mixture onto the wax paper in a rectangular shape.
6. Bake for a half hour.
7. Enjoy as a quick breakfast to go, a snack, or a dessert. This is a great post-workout snack since it provides:
         -Chocolate: high glycemic index, it will get into tissues quickly
         -Oats and bananas: carbs to replace lost glucose
         -Almonds and egg: protein for muscles
