Apple Crisp
Serves: 7-8
Ingredients for filling:
- 6 apples, peeled, sliced (I used all different flavors like: honey crisp, gala, golden delicious, and Jona gold)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 c apple cider
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Ingredients for topping:
- 1/2 cup almond meal or flour
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- pinch of salt
- 1 tbs coconut oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- pinch nutmeg
- 2 tbsp walnuts, chopped
- 2 tbsp pecans, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Peel apples and cut in small slices. Mix with lemon juice, honey, cinnamon, and apple cider. Place in a casserole dish.
2. In a bowl, mix all the topping ingredients together.3. Place the topping on top of the sliced apples.
4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden on top.
5. Top with whip cream, ice cream, hot carmel, or yogurt (for a healthier touch). Enjoy!
