Apple Crisp

Apple Crisp
Serves: 7-8
Ingredients for filling:
  • 6 apples, peeled, sliced (I used all different flavors like: honey crisp, gala, golden delicious, and Jona gold)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 c apple cider
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Ingredients for topping:
  • 1/2 cup almond meal or flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tbs coconut oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tbsp pecans, chopped 
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Peel apples and cut in small slices. Mix with lemon juice, honey, cinnamon, and apple cider. Place in a casserole dish. 

    2.  In a bowl, mix all the topping ingredients together. 
    3. Place the topping on top of the sliced apples.


    4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden on top. 




    5. Top with whip cream, ice cream, hot carmel, or yogurt (for a healthier touch). Enjoy!
