Healthy Superbowl Tips!

Wings, fried appetizers, potato skins, chili, chips and dip, and so on. Does this sound like your kind of Super Bowl party? Maybe those were your party favorites, but change it up this year with healthier Super Bowl party foods.
Tips for a skinny Super Bowl:
-When watching the game, focus on the game and don't reach for the food. Distracted snacking can lead to over eating, without realizing it! Focus on the food during commercials or half time. Look at what you are eating!!
-Place your food on a plate to see how much you are eating. Sitting in front of chips and dip, can lead to eating all the chips without realizing it. Placing the food on your plate can provide a boundary and show exactly what you are eating.
-Place the food in the other room, so you are not tempted.
-Take a time out on drinks, watching the game and drinking can lead to over drinking because you are not paying attention to your actions while watching the game. Enjoy a beer during "eating time" to ensure proper control.
-Bring or serve healthier foods like: veggies and hummus, fruit, dips, healthier chili, and munch on them before the potato skins and fried foods.
